A Twilight Ride to Green-Wood Cemetery

Take a trip with us to the past and explore Brooklyn’s Green-Wood Cemetery at twilight. Travel back in time on our IND R1-9 cars, pack a picnic and take a guided tour to learn the fascinating stories of Green-Wood’s permanent residents, including famous actors, politicians, artists and inventors from the Victorian era and beyond.


In collaboration with the Green-Wood Historic Fund. Bring your own picnic and comfortable walking shoes. 

Nostalgia Train departs from 96th Street–Second Avenue at 2:30 pm and travels via the Q and R lines to 25th Street in Brooklyn. The return trip departs at 7:00 pm, making select stops en route to its final destination, 96th Street–Second Avenue. Equipment and route are subject to change.

While 96th Street–Second Avenue has elevator access, transfer from wheelchairs to a seat on the vintage train would be required. 25th Street in Brooklyn does not have elevator access. Refunds are not available for ticketed programs. Should you be unable to attend, the full price of unused tickets may be treated as a donation to the Transit Museum and is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
