Beach Bound: Coney Island

Join us on our boardwalk-bound Coney Island Nostalgia Train! Ride our 1910s BMT B-Type Standards and 1920s BMT D-Type Triplex cars for a two-hour jaunt to Coney Island. Once we arrive at our seaside destination, brave the rides at Luna Park, check out the action on the legendary Boardwalk, or nosh on one of Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs. You can also take in the Transit Museum's special exhibit Five Cents to Dreamland: A Trip to Coney Island, now on display at the Coney Island Museum. Spend the evening in Coney Island and make your own way back home, or join the Transit Museum for a return trip to Manhattan at 4:00 pm.


The Nostalgia Ride will depart at 10:00 am from the 96th Street-Second Avenue station on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, and operate to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue. The train will pick us up in Coney Island at 4:00 pm and make select stops in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Nostalgia Rides run rain or shine. Equipment and route are subject to change.

Refunds are not available for ticketed programs. Should you be unable to attend, the full price of unused tickets may be treated as a donation to the Transit Museum and is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
