Congestion Pricing in NYC

Thursday April 4

6:00 PM  –  7:00 PM

This summer, New York City will implement the nation's first congestion pricing program; joining London, Stockholm, Milan and Singapore where charging drivers to enter a Central Business District has resulted in less traffic, cleaner air and safer streets. Revenue generated from the congestion pricing toll will be used to make more subway stations ADA accessible, electrify the bus fleet, modernize signals, and generally improve New York’s transit infrastructure.

Learn more about the plan and its implications in this virtual panel discussion, featuring Danna Dennis, Senior Organizer with Riders Alliance; Kate Slevin, Executive Vice President at Regional Plan Association; and Jonas Eliasson, Director of Transport Access at the Swedish National Transport Administration. The panel will be moderated by Jose Martinez, Transportation Reporter, TheCITY.nyc.
