With millions of riders on mass transit each day, people move throughout the region with fewer cars and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.  The MTA is committed to sustainable public transportation by increasing the energy efficiency of its fleet and facilities, and reducing the region’s carbon footprint. LEED® certified facilities include Fulton Center, the first New York City subway hub to receive a LEED® rating for sustainability and design, and Mother Clara Hale Bus Depot in Harlem.

Join Educator Danaleah Schoenfuss for a digital discussion to celebrate Earth Day throughout April, and explore the history and sustainability of of mass transit.

Please Note: This discussion will take place online. Upon registration, all participants will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to participate. We encourage you to download the Zoom app in advance for the best user experience
