East River Tour: Wall Street to Astoria by Ferry

This event is no longer on sale.

Sunday April 8

10:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

New York is as much a city of water as a city of skyscrapers, and New Yorkers have been traveling the city’s waterways since before the first commercial ferry slip connected Long Island and New Amsterdam in 1642. Join historian Mitch Waxman aboard the recently-launched NYC Ferry for an on-water tour heading north from Wall Street to Astoria, exploring the history of the neighborhoods along the East River and how they have been connected by boats, bridges, and bureaucrats in different ways throughout the city’s history.

NYC Ferry landings and vessels are ADA compliant.
