MTA Accessibility - Systemwide Initiatives

Thursday July 21

6:00 PM  –  7:00 PM

The MTA Accessibility team works to enhance accessibility across all modes within the transit system. The team works with partners across the agency to improve customer communications, set design standards on subways, buses, and railroads, enhance Access-A-Ride service, engage customers, and provide employee education.

Join Sara Bahri from the MTA Accessibility team and Josh Gee, Director of Rider Products at the MTA for a presentation about enhancing transit accessibility. Learn about accessibility features in the transit system today - including some you may not know about - and preview new technology and infrastructure solutions being explored throughout the transit system. Help us celebrate the 32nd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and think about the future of transit accessibility and how to build a system that is truly, universally, accessible.

Please Note: This event will take place online. Upon registration, all participants will receive two emails - one will be a receipt and the other will include a Zoom link with instructions on how to participate. We encourage you to download the Zoom app in advance for the best user experience.
