MTA Climate Action

Friday March 22

2:00 PM  –  3:00 PM

The MTA’s transit services are among the greenest ways you can travel, and several projects already underway will make them even greener. At the same time, the impacts of climate change are already in process, and we must prepare. In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, the MTA has invested over $7.6 billion in projects to mitigate climate-induced threats and bolster transit infrastructure. As global temperatures continue to rise, extreme weather events have become more common, creating severe consequences for cities everywhere.

Join Eric Wilson, Vice President of Climate Resilience & Sustainability Planning for a presentation on the MTA’s recent plans to meet these challenges head on. Learn about the launch of innovative and data driven solutions designed to reduce greenhouse emissions, upgrade transit systems, and prepare for a more resilient future.
