MTA Open Data for System Improvements

Thursday December 17

Other dates...

6:00 PM  –  7:30 PM

What happens at a station when it is closed for service? Keeping a 24/7 transit system running safely and reliably requires complex maintenance and upgrades that inevitably impact riders. To increase efficiency and reduce this impact, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) uses data to bundle work orders and plan customer communications, much of which is publicly available through MTA's Open Data Program.

Join Senior Director Enterprise Asset Management Value Realization, Kayla Sadallah, Assistant Vice President, Stations Quality Assurance and Ops Support, Samuel Wong, and Director of Data Science, MTA Data and Analytics, Ryan Mulvey, as they break down the process behind planning, executing, and communicating work orders, and explore how data increasingly helps teams streamline these efforts.
