Metro-North Adventure to Wave Hill

Embark on a journey on Metro-North Railroad from Grand Central Terminal to Wave Hill, a spectacular public garden and cultural center overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. Join the New York Transit Museum on a relaxed and inspiring tour of Wave Hill’s garden and art gallery and spend the afternoon exploring the dynamic relationship between nature, culture and site.  From Riverdale station we will walk to Wave Hill, and along the way encounter Rising and Setting by Dennis Oppenheim, one example of artwork found throughout New York’s transit system.

Ticket price includes one Metro-North ticket and one ticket to Wave Hill’s grounds, including a guided tour.

Tickets will be available to museum members at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 14th. Remaining tickets will be available to the general public at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 15th.

Tickets $60 for adults and $45 for children for museum members, and $75 for adults and $60 for children for the general public.

Photography and video recording are permitted. However, tripods, stands, selfie sticks, and external lights may not be used. All photographs taken are for personal use only and permission to photograph may be revoked at any time.

All ticket sales are final. Should you be unable to attend the tour on the date you reserved, the full price of unused tickets may be treated as a donation to the Transit Museum and is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Museum is not able to reschedule reservations to another tour date.
