Subway Sketch Night

Thursday February 21

6:30 PM  –  8:30 PM

Join us for an evening of drawing at the New York Transit Museum! Hosted by New York City-based illustrators Ebony Bolt, Josh Cochran, and Julia Rothman, the evening will begin with a short discussion led by Senior Curator Amy Hausmann exploring the artists’ work. Following the conversation, explore the Museum and draw inspiration from bygone days in our 1936 decommissioned subway station and vintage subway cars.

All ages and skill levels are welcome. Sketch boards, paper and pencils will be provided, or you may bring your own art supplies (pencil and water based marker only, please).

Your ticket includes one beer provided by Coney Island Brewery. Additional drink tickets will be available for a cash-only donation of $5 each.

Photography and video recording are permitted at the Transit Museum. However, selfie sticks, external lighting, tripods and stands may not be used. All photographs taken are for personal use only and permission to photograph may be revoked at any time.

Refunds are not available for ticketed programs. Should you be unable to attend, the full price of unused tickets may be treated as a donation to the Transit Museum and is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
