Subway Sketch and Sip Night with Sarah Nisbett

Join us for an evening of drawing at the New York Transit Museum! Hosted by illustrator and author of Drawn on the Way, Sarah Nisbett. The evening will begin with an introduction to Nisbett’s work and artistic approach. Following the conversation, explore the Museum and draw inspiration from bygone days in our 1936 decommissioned subway station, vintage subway cars, and artifacts on display in “The Subway Is…” exhibit. 

All skill levels are welcome. Sketch boards, paper, and pencils will be provided, or you may bring your own art supplies (pencil and water-based marker only, please). 

Your ticket includes one drink. Additional drink tickets will be available for a cash-only donation. 


Attendees under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Photography and video recording are permitted at the Transit Museum. However, selfie sticks, external lighting, tripods and stands may not be used. All photographs taken are for personal use only and permission to photograph may be revoked at any time.

All ticket sales are final. Should you be unable to attend the program on the date you reserved, the full price of unused tickets may be treated as a donation to the Transit Museum and is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Museum is not able to provide refunds or reschedule reservations to another date.
