Keeping New York City moving around the clock is no easy feat. Behind every bus trip and subway ride is a finely tuned schedule that balances regular service reliability with system maintenance, equipment availability, staffing needs, and the unexpected challenged of a 24/7 city.
Join Deputy Chief Subway Schedules Derrick Brown, Deputy Chief Bus Schedules Andrew Grahl, and MTA Open Data Manager Lisa Mae Fielder for an inside look at the art and science of transit scheduling at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), powered by technology and data-driven insights.
