Transit Walk - Deep Dive: Grand Central's Tracks and Trains
This event will be available 1/16/2026 10:00:00 AM.
Learn about Grand Central’s long history of expansion, culminating in its most recent addition, Grand Central Madison, on this walking tour. Grand Central is ever evolving to meet the mass transit needs of an endlessly growing population. Hosting Metro-North Railroad, the Long Island Rail Road, and New York City’s subway system, the landmark has been built in stages, becoming a massive network of tracks and trains.
As always everyone is welcome to join. This tour provides a deep dive, thus is best suited for those who have some knowledge of New York City transit.
Members enjoy early access! Tickets go on sale to Museum members on Wednesday, January 14 at 10am ET. Remaining tickets go on sale to the public Friday, January 16 at 10am ET.
