Transit Walk: Long Island City

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday March 25

2:00 PM  –  4:00 PM

Our expert Museum Educators lead a series of Transit Walks through all five boroughs, examining transportation one neighborhood at a time. This March and April join Senior Educator Katherine Reeves on a trip out to Long Island City to explore the intersection of three types of transportation — ferry, subway and railroad — and their historical impact on immigration patterns in this area. The tour will include highlights of local architecture, public art, and the East River Ferry developments at Hunter’s Point..
