Rise and shine with the New York Transit Museum! Children with developmental disabilities or those on the autism spectrum and their families are invited to join us in Downtown Brooklyn for a morning of free family fun. Discover the Museum before we open to the public at 10am and participate in special transit-themed activities led by Transit Museum staff.

During our Special Day we are going to move and groove! Activities include an art-making workshop inspired by the movement in artist Keith Haring’s chalk drawings, and an interactive musical performance. A quiet room will be available for anyone who would like a sensory break.

All ages welcome! Admission to this program is FREE and advance registration is required. After registering you will receive 2 emails: a confirmation email and an email with your e-tickets for the event.

A social narrative will be emailed in advance of the program for your family to learn more about the activities and what to expect during this event. For more information on Transit Museum accessibility including wheelchair access, please visit nytransitmuseum.org/accessibility. Please email access@nytransitmuseum.org with any questions.
